i'd be lying if i said the cruise was all fun-n-games so let's get this out of the way:
1. there were multiple times during the cruise that i wished i could get the fuck off the boat--- for a variety of reasons including but not limited to being sea sick.
2. the waiters doing the macarena while i ate my buffet lunch was nauseating.
3. most of the fellow vacationers aboard were unattractive, white-trash who insisted on wearing their bikinis throughout the entire ship. (plus the guy in the cabin across from us was surely a pedophile)
4. the number of cheesie activities going on both day and night was remarkable.
5. certainly i would have loved more time on the islands to do some real exploring.
but. yea. the cruise was good. overall, real good. we had fun. our room was upgraded to a room with a balcony (making it even easier to flash each of the ports). the weather, for the most part, held up-- a little rain but not too hot. the islands were fun-- beautiful clear blue water and white sand. aboard the ship, we participated in a large variety of activities. we played bingo. we drank (a lot). we danced at "da club." we watched a "las-vegas style show" (groan). we saw a comedian (not funny). we got spa treatments (mm). we lounged in the sun. we attended every event with free drinks. we ate (a lot). we even watched some ridiculous karokee. we met some interesting people (i made a friend).......... and i, of course, sat on the casino tables, playing "caribbean stud poker" (how could i resist?). it was a good time.
unfortunately i have returned to the states exhausted, broke, and sick. *sigh* i am ready for another vacation. (luckily i'm off to vermont in just a week's time)
